These three marker buoys had been aligned to indicate exactly the direction of the sea depression.
The great marker buoy, a black pyramid from profile iron, with a cross, a ton and a triangle at the top shall have been built in 1852. Its height over the ground was 38.2 m. About 60 years later it was blown up by the Russians, and it fell on the roof of a fishermen's homestead in Bommelsvitte.
