In the year 1959 Memels/Klaipėda's old town was declared as a protected historical town. However, items which were not worth for preservation or which were not preservable became demolished. Apparently the houses at the beginning of the Gr. Wasserstr. (at the corner of Hohe Str.) were in such a condition that they were torn off. No. 2 Grosse Wasserstr. was on the today's green area. | |
